The Junior League of Boca Raton supports its projects through volunteer time and training, collaboration with other organizations in the community, solicitation of grants, and community fundraising events and fund development. Over the next two years, the Junior League of Boca Raton is budgeted to spend more than half a million dollars within our service area-extending from Deerfield Beach and Coral Springs to Boynton Beach.

In order to accomplish our ambitious goals we use a variety of fundraising vehicles, including the following:

  • Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon
The Junior League Woman Volunteer of the Year award Luncheon annually honors one woman from over 30 non-profit organization nominees with the prestigious title and serves as a top fundraiser for the JLBR. Over 1,000 are expected to attend this highly touted award luncheon and spectacular runway fashion show presented by Saks Fifth Avenue and Escada’s Spring/Summer 2008 Collection.

The Junior League of Boca Raton Inc., Woolbright Development, Inc. & Wachovia Wealth Management cordially invite you to the 20th Annual Woman Volunteer of the Year Award Luncheon.

  • Savor the Moment Cookbook
In 1998 we created a new fundraiser where the League developed a plan for the production, distribution and marketing of a nationally best-selling, coffee-table style cookbook titled Savor the Moment, Entertaining Without Reservations. An excellent ongoing source of income expected to exceed $1,000,000 in revenue, the James Beard award-winning cookbook also serves as a strong marketing tool to showcase our benefiting projects and the corporate and private partners supporting them. • Chocolate Decadence
The Junior League of Boca Raton, Inc. in partnership with The Shops of Boca Center hosts the Annual Chocolate Decadence: The Sweetest Party in Town in February each year, from 6:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Chocolate Decadence draws approximately 1,500 people from South Palm Beach County to taste and enjoy not only all things chocolate, but all things indulgent, including food, wine, jewelry and shopping. A special part of the evening is the naming of community "Sweethearts" whose contributions to South Florida have made a longstanding impact. Learn More

  • Family Portrait Day
Utilizing the talents of professional photographers in lush outdoor and in-studio settings, this fundraiser is a win/win for everyone. Your deeply discounted fee allows an hour session with the photographer who will give you a CD with all the final shots and full ownership of the images so you can have the developed at the lab of your choice. Great for family portraits, holiday photo cards, mother’s day and more. As the word has gotten out about this dynamic fundraiser, the committee has been able to produce increased annual results.

  • eBay
Starting in June of 2007, the league will begin leveraging eBay's huge draw by posting selective donated merchandise. Those participating in the specialty auction are asked to encourage all eBay buyers to consider donating a portion of their sale to the league.

  • Fund Development
Frequently the league will be approached to participate in a one-time fundraising event such as a restaurant grand opening or a designer trunk show where the proceeds are donated to the league. Our committee will evaluate these invitations and make recommendations to the Board of Directors. Additionally, they also track all in-kind and underwriting donations given to the league.
