Junior League of Boca Raton celebrated volunteerism at 23rd Annual Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon 
 
Junior League of Boca Raton held the 2010 Woman Volunteer of the Year (WVOY) Luncheon and After Party on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Boca Raton Resort and Club.  This year, over 700 people attended the prestigious luncheon, which recognized 31 nominees from non-profit organizations throughout Palm Beach County for their dedication and expertise as volunteers.   Brooke Qualk from the Home Safe Foundation was named the 2010 Woman Volunteer of the Year.  This year the selection committee also chose a 2010 Life Time Achievement Recipient, Barbara Schmidt.  Congratulations!
 
Over the past 22 years, the Junior League of Boca Raton has helped recognize more than 450 women volunteers in the community through this event.  These women are nominated for making significant and noteworthy contributions to the lives of children, families, individuals and seniors within the community.
